But we must be simple.
There is no one solution
But we must find it.
There is no specific way
But we must not make one
Like many try to do.
These are the confused.
The lost,
The lonely,
The deaf.
They think they have found the answer,
They tell themselves that they have
Because the do not want to
Be
Lost.
There is no specific way
But we must not search for one.
We must set the goal for the destination,
Not the journey.
Let the journey take its course.
Does the bird search for the path through the trees
Or the insects to eat?
Nature is simple.
Nature is not direct.
Nature is not one identity.
Nature is the material Tao.
Nature is,
The Tao is,
So we must
Be.

ReplyDeleteYour repetition is used very powerfully. I like how you had repetition within each stanza but also throughout the poem. I think that it would be even more powerful if you used the bird metaphor throughout your poem instead of just in one stanza.
