Let Go
The world around us
Is in a perpetual cycle
Happiness and sorrow
Life and death
Poverty and prosperity
Guided by a disembodied force
The Master himself realizes
That there is no purpose in objectives
That those who harbor emotion
Are the epitome of weakness
That those who pursue themselves
Will never become complete
To become whole
Is to let go of the world
To free yourself of all concern
Only in doing so can you recognize the Tao
And finally become able to understand
Yourself and everything around you.
I really like this idea of everything being a circle, so that there's no actual purpose in objectives. It's something I've never really considered before. Your picture of the circles in the rock garden complement your poem well too.
ReplyDeleteHe used great vocabulary in his poem.
ReplyDeleteI like how the picture relates to the cycle in the poem.
