It is not of nature to be another
each one their own, against the world,
outer influences compressed by pressure
form altered, fighting to maintain inner composition.
The world yells out at those who stand alone,
it is now they must journey into the depths of the past
looking back on things found and forgotten
searching to find their inner strength.
Be unique.
Your poem is super deep and relates to people who struggle to be themselves. I love it :)
ReplyDeleteWhen reading the Tao, it is so easy to see how natural and peaceful we should be, but we forget how hard it can be to achieve this. I like how your poem addresses the "first step" in following the Tao, being oneself.
