You are your own self and different from the others.
In the Tao,
it is the differences that connect people,
if only one is willing to look.
In the Tao,
it is the differences that separate people,
if one is not willing to listen.
To see clearly you look through the fog and see the morning light
To remain the same, you step back and close the blinds.
The Tao does not use the eyes to see things near and far.
But instead uses the heart to see things as they truly are.
The Master of the Tao speaks not of his mind
but observes all of life from a distance.
To understand all things,
you must first accept that
you are your own self.
And you are different from everyone else.

ReplyDeleteWow! This is super good! I really like the flow of your poem. The line, "To see clearly you look through the fog", it really fit the idea of your poem.

I like these lines!!! They kind of sum up the entire idea of the poem in a metaphor and that's really cool. You are wonderful little homie~
Great methodology in writing. Nice visualizations.

ReplyDeleteIt really relates to the Tao, and transforms the excerpts in a more comprehendible way! Great job!
